The most important publishing platform? The Newsletter!
Newsletters aren’t just a tool for journalists. The platform is a way to individually reach your audience outside of what is increasingly becoming a cluttered social media environment. Whether you want to push a product, promote an event, or keep clients on top of company news, newsletters are a powerful tool to add to brand promotion.
Coda Story journalist and editor Katia Patin walks you through how to set up a successful newsletter campaign using the free site Mailchimp. In just two months, Coda Story’s subscription base has grown from 500 subscribers to over 2,000 with an open rate of close to 35%, well above the industry average of 18%.
The hour-and-a-half long, hands-on workshop will walk through several examples of successful newsletter campaigns and in the second-half of the workshop you will create your own newsletter template. Please come prepared with sample images and text for your mock newsletter.
