Join us for a screening of short documentary films by Coda Story which explore the lives of transgender people living in Russia and Georgia, followed by a Q&A discussion with the directors.
►”Transmoskva” by Pascal Dumont, follows the story of Vika, a transsexual woman in Moscow, as she completes her transition and returns home to her family in Siberia.
►In “Bart’s Story”, filmmaker Anka Gujabidze gets a rare glimpse at life in an atypical family in Georgia. Bart is a father and an activist who also happens to be transgender.
►”Bianka’s Story”, also by Anka Gujabidze, is an intimate portrait of life as a 20-year-old transgender woman living in Georgia’s conservative, male-dominated society.
The screenings will take 30 minutes in total. Afterwards, please join us for a informal Q&A with the films’ directors.
